The book is called Silence of the Girls and that really holds true. For all the narration done by the MC, we never really get a sense of who she is or what she wants. I understand that’s kind of the point of the book but dam was it frustrating (kinda like being a woman fr!). But I would have liked at least some part of it to flip that script for a while and not have it only center around the men’s stories (again, I know it’s the point the author was making) but it really made me hate being stuck in their story, in a way that made it hard to get through the book tbh. Now what does that say about the experience of being a woman…

For about supposedly about women it focuses a lot on men which was a bit disappointing. Thz writing is also not si good or too modern which made it difficult to be completely immersed in the book
