It was a good book. I enjoyed the concept.

Single mom
Forced proximity/roommates
Hockey romance - but there is literally zero hockey until the last 2 minutes of the book.

I liked Asher. He fell first. Was instantly attracted to his next door neighbor Auden. He wanted more right away but went at Auden’s pace. A gentleman and was amazing with Auden’s son.

I did not like Auden so much. I understand she had to go thru character development from having shitty parents but she kept going back and forth. I needed her to be stronger and she didn’t get there. I couldn’t connect with her.

ending felt a bit rushed ngl, but that’s because ive been conditioned to expect a third act breakup.

It gets an extra star for no third act breakup, otherwise I was not a fan.

This was absolute perfection. This god damn man!! This story was so beautiful. Single mum and hockey player man. They’re neighbours and they end up meeting in the halls. They become friends through his connection with her son. She ends up needing a roommate at the same time that she does so he moves in. From there they explore their connection and the perfection just grows. Alex ( her son ) was my favourite child in a book ever. I fell in love with him. I adored every main character with my entire heart. Asher was so respectful of everything. Her boundaries, her exploring her sexuality etc. the way that he adored her! Auden’s growth in this story was one of my favourite parts. She’s so strong and watching her get even stronger was crazy. Love love loved it!!
