I was very disappointed with this book. the twist was just ridiculous. I would not recommend this book to anyone.
Short and semi-sweet novel, clearly trying to write in the spirit of Gillian Flynn's novels. It has a definite Gone Girl feel to it for most. I will admit the premise is creative. The only issue is that the entire book is centered around attempting to deceive the reader, which will probably put some people off. It didn't bother me at all, but then I figure if I am going to be deceived it should probably be by a book and not a friend or spouse.
There are some issues with this book, mostly the abrupt way that it ends (I wasn't a huge fan, but then it isn't like I devoted just tons of time to this -- it's less than 200 pages) and the fact that some things are hinted at and never followed through with regard to Emma. It's alright. This is one of the more enjoyable Kindle First novels I've read, simply for the fact that it works so hard at deception. It succeeds with flying colors in that deception too, although that is probably because the big reveal is so far-fetched that the novel basically becomes an urban fantasy or even science fiction entry at that point. Having said that, I still enjoyed it, and once the "Twist" happened, I appreciated that I had been strung along for so long (Just like with Gone Girl -- although that one was just a masterpiece).
I read lots of nitpicking from Goodreads reviewers. I don't think you can nitpick a novel like this. Yes, it is going to be farfetched. Just enjoy it for what it is.

Hmmmm.... as far as books go, it wasn't the best or the worst. It just wasn't believable - who would do that to their husband??!?!?! I felt terrible for Gabriel throughout the book but he definitely got the last laugh.
My Amazon Prime Membership Kindle First book - August 2016.
This month I chose the Psychological Suspense “Interference” written by Amélie Antoine and flawlessly translated from French to English by Maren Baudet-Lackner.
The book is set in current times and told from the view of the three main characters.
Chloé and Gabriel are a young married couple, who appear to be living the perfect life until Chloé drowns while swimming in the ocean early one morning. Heartbroken Gabriel feels Chloé’s presence wherever he goes and whatever he does and finds it extremely difficult to move on until he joins a support group for the recently bereaved.
This is where Gabriel meets Emma a photographer who has joined the support group to offer to create memory-books for the bereaved to remember their loved ones. The two are drawn to each other but Gabriel finds it very difficult let go of Chloé and feels her presence everywhere.
There is a point, about halfway, where the story twists, almost unbelievably so. I won’t give anything away but I will say that some of the reviews I have read suggest that this storyline is just too far fetched. I am not so sure, I worry that in these times we are living in today if this could actually happen somewhere to someone… The tone of the book switched at this point and I found I wasn’t enjoying it quite so much. I continued to read and I am glad I did as it was well written and kept me wondering until the very end…

Gabriel is in love with his wife. He loves their life together in a small coastal town in France. He's happy with his job as a banker. But in one moment, one phone call, the structure of his life falls to pieces. Told from multiple viewpoints, this book explores not only what happens next to Gabriel but the choices he makes and the ways he copes with what he's lost.
Meh. I can't even write a summary without giving things away but truth is that while it was readable enough, I just did not believe the "twist." It required too much suspending of my disbelief. It's a "thriller," I guess, but it ended very quickly (too quickly for me) and I finished feeling blah. The writing is bland but not horrible and I never wanted to give it up I just...meh. Maybe I should've.

Super fun, fast read. it started a little slow and was a bit dry at times (translated), but it was nice to read a book that wasn't 400 pages for once.
started slow but really picked up speed. better than i would have ever expected from the first 20 pages.
Dumb twist, unlikeable characters. It was a free book and I want my money back.
