I love the enemies to lovers trope. I loved the story between Maya and Kendrick. The cover of this book is absolutely stunning as well. It had great spice and fluff as well. This was a great book. I ended up devouring this book.

I am such a sucker for enemies to lovers trope and this was such a great read! It was a little cheesy but I definitely enjoyed the pure hatred for how much they liked each other and neither of them wanted to fight it or be the first to admit how much they enjoyed each other.

I received this book as an ARC for an honest review, all thoughts/opinions above are my own.

I really enjoyed reading this book. I absolutely love Viola who is the MMC mother. In her few appearances she really steals the spotlight. I love the chemistry between the main characters and the title is perfection for the book. Kendrick gave me all the feels. Maya is very strong headed but comes to her senses more often than not. It starts off a little frustrating. You just want to shake Maya. Enemies to Lovers and it did not disappoint.

First off…Maya and Kendrick!! ❤️‍🔥

First time reader of WS Greer and I willllll be reading more of his work. I Love to Hate You is a contemporary enemies to lovers romance.
One of my favorite things I love is the inclusivity in the book. The characters and their backgrounds are wonderfully written where it’s as if you know them in real life. Maya’s resurfacing past involving her parents is extremely heartbreaking. I could feel her sadness in my core as well as feel my blood boiling for her on other occasions. Kendrick’s bond with his mother and her optimism served as a breath of fresh air to Kendrick’s “story.”

Back to my first sentence - the spice between these two is HOT. However, their spiciness is just a plus to their general chemistry. The two are perfect together and when they finally realize it, it shows how beautifully they fit together and compliment each others characters. Also, Kendrick’s protective “touch her and I’ll kill you” vibe for Maya is STRONG.

Definitely worth the read if you enjoy the following tropes: enemies to lovers, spice, protective main male characters, and strong female main characters.

ARC REVIEW 🫶🏼

Right off the get go you can tell that Maya is going to be a character who’s story is going to suck you in. *Cue ‘Bad Reputation’ by Joan Jett & The Blackhearts*

Kendrick doesn’t disappoint either - he immediately gave dark and moody,  misunderstood villian turned superhero vibes.

The banter & IRL references had me chuckling - when you put two strong willed people together, it’s bound to be full of the best kind of tension, sarcasm, and 🥵🔥chemistry🔥🥵

This book really checks all the boxes:
  • characters with tragic backstories and fiery personalities you want to read about
  • HOT spicy scenes
  • Enemies to lovers
  • A redemption arc & character “on the come up” story
  • An emotional roller coaster of a plot that keeps you flipping pages while laughing, gasping, and sobbing over and over again as the story progresses.
  • First person Dual POV writing style

All in all this was a phenomenal read and I’m so glad it was my introduction book to WS Greer as an author.

Maya & Kennedy.
College enemies turned intern lovers. These are two of the most complex, courageous, & unique characters I’ve ever read.
I loved every page & WS Greer deserves the crown.

Y'all.. Kendrick and Maya!!

These two met in college and couldn't stand to be near each other.. until the night they could, but of course life had other plans and their one night was just that. One night. untill they end up getting internships at the same company post graduation. When their hatred for each other turns into something else it is entirely too hard to put the book down. Maya loves to push his buttons and Kendrick has no problem putting her in her place. &
I always always always search for the mean a$$ MMC's. I JUST LOVE THEM, OKAY?! so when I saw WS GREER start advertising this book I was allll over it. He had me at enemies,  but what I wasn't prepared for was to read about a mean a$$ MMC aaaaand a mean a$$ FMC. Maya can dish it back just as quick as Kendrick can dish it out and I absolutely LOVED reading about them. "I Love to Hate You" is seriously the best title for this book!
