I found the subject matter to be interesting and while it definitely made me think a lot about my own mortality and death as a concept, there were some things in the book that just really gave me the ick, like the humor and some of the comments she made regarding mental health and culture. Even as a history lover, I also found myself a little bit bored as she explained some of the historical background as it felt disconnected to the story she was telling, but it was interesting to hear her thoughts and experiences.

"As Kafka said, “The meaning of life is that it ends.” Death is the engine that keeps us running, giving us the motivation to achieve, learn, love, and create."

It makes me want to quit my job and run straight to the nearest crematory. So it must be good.
