When a group of rich privileged kids crash at an abandoned castle for the weekend things go from bad to worse when poor weather rolls in and the bodies begin to drop. A psychological thriller that will keep you guessing about who's innocent and who's the killer. The best part? The twist at the end that you may think you see coming, but the final line...absolute perfection.

Natasha Preston once again delivers an edge-of-your-seat thriller with The Party. The story follows Bessie and her group of friends as they gather for a spring break party in a remote castle. What starts as a fun getaway quickly spirals into a nightmare when a storm traps them, isolating them from the outside world.
As the weather rages, strange events unfold—by morning, the horror truly begins with the first tragic death, setting off a chain of escalating terror.
Preston masterfully crafts a tale full of suspense and twists, keeping you guessing until the very end. Her ability to build an atmosphere of dread is unmatched, and the characters' dynamics add depth to the unraveling mystery.
If you're a fan of thrillers that keep you on the edge of your seat, The Party is a must-read. It’s another gem from an author who consistently delivers captivating stories that linger long after the final page.

**3.5 Stars**
I found the beginning of this book quite slow, and it took me until around 65% to really get into it. But once I did, the story became incredibly exciting and packed with surprises! The second half had me completely engaged. I really enjoyed the unexpected twists that came my way. I had a feeling about the big twist near the end, but the conclusion was still a surprise. The final paragraph is something you won’t forget. The last 35% of the book definitely made it all worth it!
Thank You NetGalley and Random House Children's for allowing me to read this ARC.

2.25 stars. This is your standard locked in a room mystery, and not much more. There was little to no character development to add to the story, and get invested. This was hard to stay engaged in.
