Every now and then, a girl's gotta have a fun "one-dayer." Youknowhatimsaying? Enjoyed Ever the Hunted so much - flew thru it in a day and loved each chapter. Excited to get my hands on the sequel and see where Britta & Cohen are headed. (Oh, and that King guy.)

I enjoyed this book and the ending caught me by surprise. I had to wait for the sequels to release and I lost interest so I will not be continuing with the series.

Not for me. Slow start. Romance dressed up with a bow and arrow over the fantasy. The MC just didn't grow on me. DNF

When Britta is caught poaching on the King’s land, she is given the choice of hanging or hunting a murderer- the one who killed her father, the King’s bounty hunter. The search leads her to her childhood love, her father’s apprentice- Cohen. Obviously he didn’t do it, but together they must find out who did. (I did guess who it was from the beginning but I wasn’t bothered by it.) Along the way, Britta discovers that
Spoiler has magical powers to heal people (and she brought Cohen back from the dead!!! And had a connection to him because of it!)

So now that she
Spoiler the spell on the King, brought him back from the dead and has a connection to him (not Cohen),
are we being set up for an unnecessary love triangle? Please no...

*2.5 stars...?

This just wasn’t as good as I hoped it would be. I was interested to find out how the story ended, but the romance was a little too cheesy and took up more of the plot than I was anticipating. I wanted more info about the world and the Channelers. Not sure if I’d recommend this one.
