A gripping narrative of the author’s experience in the Holocaust. Relatively short but packs an emotional punch - Wiesel’s prose is devastatingly beautiful and paints a picture of the absolute devastation the worst of humanity can wreak.

It's an unbelievably dark tale told that feels like it belongs in horror fiction when you describe it or think about it, and yet it was real and lived by millions.

Haunting, and Incredibly moving.

Immensely important book. Doesn't mean it's a fun read, doesn't mean it's written particularly well. It's direct, it's clear, it's in your face about what it wants to say.

Extremely hard to read and one of the most harrowing, disturbing, and tragic books I’ve ever come across. I think it’s also one of the most important books ever written, the perspective shows that whatever you thought was troubling can get darker.
