I’m normally not a fan of slow burn books, I tend to get bored pretty quickly

Because you’re mine. Because being around you is like being around the sun. Because seeing you happy makes me happy, and seeing you sad makes me want to do anything I have to to get that look off your face.

There are books that just stab a hole in your heart and make home there, and this is one of them. MZ has a way of making you feel the feels. I love slow burn so her books always grab me with the tension and longing she builds in her books.

I absolutely love that her audiobooks are duet, EVEN though they are all single POV all the male voices are actually male voices and it just makes them so much more enjoyable!

I’ve been not so purposefully putting off reading Rhodes, only because I knew I was gonna love it and couldn’t read it for the first time ever again. I wanted to physically read it but with moving I have hardly any time to read other than through audio. But this definitely did not disappoint!

I loved the little dislike to love that the two had. Rhodes was so grouchy and you obviously find out why eventually, and I loved that he was a silver fox! Rhodes is caring and has such a huge heart and I love him.

Rory was such a light. She had been through some of the hardest shit a girl should ever have to go through and yet she brings people so much joy.

This book is everything to me.

This was my first Mariana Zapata book, and it should have been my last.
I love a slow burn, but her books have no conflict, and often they have ‘grumpy sunshine’ MMCs which are just rude af.
This book is boring, nothing happens.

While many have praised this book as one of their favorites from Mariana Zapata, I found the book to be overly detailed and drawn out. The saving grace for me was the audiobook format, which made the experience far more enjoyable than trying to read it physically. It seems that Zapata's writing style, characterized by extensive detail, might not align with my preferences. Based on this experience, I'm unsure if her other works would suit my tastes, but I appreciate the depth she brings to her storytelling.
