Honestly, this book is bad. Really bad.

I am not a fan of werewolves and vampires and paranormal stuff like that, but I got this book fro free with Genre Reader, and I thought the other books were pretty good to passable, though a lot of them were short stories.

This was the worst. By far.

First the premise. There are werewolves. How? Why? Doesn't matter. Kat is special. How? Why? Doesn't matter.

Second the characters. Why do any of them do anything? They are thinner than my kindle. Kat is the most developed, and she was weird at school (we get one sentence on that), then her parents dies and she is a werewolf. We learn that she is a slightly different type of werewolf. That is it.

The love interest, Triston is blonde and sexy looking. That is his character. He helps her out for plot reasons. There is a bad guy, Aldrick, who is bad because he is. You have a secondary antagonist, simply called Hunter, who is a vampire. Then you have Danny. He is a werewolf and part of the love triangle with Kat and Triston. He changes side about 4 times in this very short book, but he is always pushed into it by someone else. Then there is a character that we only meet in the last 3 chapters of this book called Mauro.
Spoiler who we find out bit Kat to make her a special werewolf so she could stop everything. She is the chosen one. But he had the powers already, so why isn't he the chosen one? He seems far more capable than her
. There we go. In one paragraph I explained all the main characters. The book does this basically at this speed.

The prose is weak, noticeably so. There are a lot of repeated phrases. "Danny dropped to his belly and scooted forwards." then one sentence later "she dropped to her belly and scooted in after him." This was in the first chapter. There were countless examples of this, and it just shows an amateur quality to self-publishing which I can't shake.

The pacing is horrible in this. Everything is so quick, and so we don't know anything about anyone. I like fast action and a good page turner, but this is too short. It was 20 chapters and each of them was only a handful of pages. This is probably about 100 pages of book here, and all of it is bad.

This is the worst book I have read in a long time, well done!

I was voluntarily provided this free review copy audio book by the author, narrator or publisher.

it was pretty good, after the short of xmas night, this was pretty interesting since you know a little background for Kath and all, it had a lots of twists this one that were very welcomed.

the narrator voice was nice too, I could feel the emotions surging within her voice.

the plot and premise of the book is pretty cool they have werewolfs, vampires, humas trying to help but something I noticed was the little cameos here and there, they were fun, lol Nora roberts, and that did make it pretty enjoyable for me actually that they were on a quest of their own but since they were teenagers and such they didnt knew that much of the world but were learning fast.

a delectable reading and hearing.
