It's been forever since I read a biography! The Eighth Wonder Of The World offers readers a chance to see Andre The Giants journey in and out of the ring. Meet the man behind the myth!

This book follows his life from his birth in France, growing up on his family's farm, to pursuing wrestling at 18, through his wrestling career, his battle with acromegaly the condition that made him a giant, up to his untimely death.

This bio feels really well researched. I didn't know a lot about Andre but considering he's been gone 30 years Herbert did a great job detailing his life through interviews with family and friends and lots of research. He attemps to debunk some common misconceptions about Andre as well. I'm looking forward to watching the documentary now too. This is a must read for wrestling fans but it's also an interesting read for anyone who enjoys biographies.

Thank You to the publisher for sending me this book opinions are my own.
