ok this took FOREVER to get into but i did like the end!
To me, this book was a letdown.
But I wouldn't say it's a bad book, rather it didn't live up to my expectations, hence the 2-star rating. I would still recommend it to those who enjoy books with mystery and romance elements in them. Perhaps I would have enjoyed this book more if I didn't read the synopsis.
So tip before reading: don't read the synopsis and just explore the plot piece by piece. Maybe I would've appreciated it more.

The Creeping is not what I thought it would be. There is a lot that could have gone good but had gone wrong instead, I will list them all below:
1. Stella is unlikeable and irritating and is self-centred. Seriously, others may think it gave her character depth and personality, I think she's just a whiny brat.
2. It could have been better without the romance. Honestly, I just skimmed everything that has to do with the romance. Is a romance a requirement for a YA book?
3. By the end of it all, it feels like the author just info dumped everything to tie the lose ends, and kept convincing us that monsters don't exist.
Is it a good story? Yes it is, that's why I gave it 3 stars still. But is it a good horror/thriller/ mystery story? Eeeh, not really.

In the end, I liked The Creeping much more than I expected to. This is a book where I would tell readers to keep reading because the plot gets so much better as the story goes on. By mid-point, I felt myself getting super spooked by the plot.
The Creeping is unique because I liked not knowing exactly if the evil lurking in Stella’s town was real or imaginary. Even by the end, I wasn’t one hundred percent certain who the true monsters were. The pace felt a little slow in the first few chapters, but picked up tremendously as the mysteries started unraveling.
Stella grew on me as the story progressed. Her and her friends were a little annoying at first, but Stella eventually becomes a character I could root for. I think my feelings for her changed once the romance between her and Sam blossomed. I loved the two of them as a couple.
Although the romance was sweet, I definitely was more into the mystery of Janie. I thought I had it all figured out, but the author threw a curveball at the end. I love when an author surprises the reader completely.
Fans of YA mysteries with a touch of horror will definitely like The Creeping.

"If you look for monsters, you'll find them."
Overall all, this was a pretty good book.
I liked most of the characters, like Sam and sometimes Stella. (I'm glad she realized who she was)
But I wasn't a fan of Zoey's character although she was decent towards the end.
Caleb -_- disappointed.
Daniel. I never liked him.
Shane. He got annoying at some points but overall he was fine.
Griever is a scary woman. But we needed her type of character to the story. I feel like she could've had more to the plot though.
I was confused with why the Creeping was involved in this story at all. I guess I understand it's a myth people used to talk about and maybe it was meant to throw us [the readers] off. I don't know.
The beginning of the story for me was kind of slow but once it picked up with the mystery aspect I was into it. I never guessed the outcome.
The ending was just an ending to me but I'm glad it didn't end it a different not. (If that makes any sense)

Where to Start with this book... It not perfect but damn was it a good read. In this book, We follow Stella who had something bad happen to Her as a child it been 11 years now and Horrible things are happening again. Stella tries to remember what happened that horrible day. I did figure out half the mystery before the revel, but that didn't take from the story for me. Overall I think this book is a good book for mystery and suspense books.
