Interesting and important narrative about the Birmingham protests in 1963. Great for classroom education and book reports.

I was in love with the characters from the start. I didn’t grow up in the south, but I am black and this spoke to my soul like nothing else had before. I think that this is a must read for anyone and everyone.

I have read a lot of Civil Rights history and historical fiction, but I had never heard about this. I can't believe this is left out of so many books and history books!
