the pacing went from somewhat painfully slow to very rushed, like the author had realised we were over halfway through and nothing had actually happened yet.

Airs a bit too much on the corny side for me, which seemed at odds with the more serious themes in the book.

3,5 stars for me. Definitely find the trigger warnings before you read it. I was expecting murder of course, but it had more serious topics than expected.

I really liked that some smaller chapters where in the point of view of the killer, without the reader knowing yet who the killer is. I didn't know who the killer was 'till it was revealed!

Some of the characters you get to know better than others. You learn the most about detective Roz. She has a nice development. I thought the stowaway would have a bigger role and I would have loved to know a bit more about Craig.

Grant is a asshole, typical entitled male!

I wasn't impressed by this book, but I did enjoy reading it.

fast paced with good twists throughout! I like the chapters written from the killers perspective, it was fun trying to connect dots with little “clues” from those chapters. Trigger warning of rape and DV, it did get pretty hard for me to read at the end.
