The style did not resonate. This book is bot foe me.

This author is so entitled and culturally illiterate. The way she talks about other races/cultures in this book is so icky. I couldn’t do it.

I constantly worry about getting old too quickly or that life will have to stop at some point. This book has given me a fresh and hopeful set of eye that I feel it can only give to people my age (early 20s). It's reminded me that I have so much life left to live and that I should spend it doing things rather than worrying about running out of time to do said things.

Before reading I saw a lot of negative reviews of people saying it's not very special in their eyes, but I think that's because they're reading it in a more certain and clearer spot in their lives. I'm currently at a turning point of finishing uni, continuing recovery from the end of a long term relationship and setting off into the adult world to work and live, so this book couldn't come to me in a better time of my life.

Any older readers, I would recommend reading this with the eyes of yourself at your cross roads between youth and adulthood. It may make the stories clearer and more meaningful.

Well written, the author is a very talented writer and story teller. That’s about all the good I have to say about this book.
I finished this book out of spite. It’s been on my reading list for years, I really thought it was going to be the best book considering the incredible title. But the book wasn’t anything like that. What could have been a thoughtful critique on why it’s not wise to marry and breed young was instead weirdly racist boy obsessed and relationship focused book. It’s also very odd the author used the title, but still wanted kids of their own and even went so far as to freeze their eggs. I just couldn’t get over the weird racism, the pro israeli narrative, pro war, sexualizing colonizers and conquistadors, and having a weird white savio/exotic foreigner perspective. I really had high hopes for this book given the title. But it really was just bad, well written, bad content. Bummer.

adventurous funny inspiring

Sincere and sincerely funny and inspiring, Kristin Newman's tale of "vacationships" is a fun read and one that made me a) glad I didn't sleep with a lot of guys when I traveled in the past (I just don't have the guts for it), and b) want to travel more soon.

Entertaining and comical but was expecting it to be funnier.

Super fun book; Kristin Newman's comedic voice is funny and entertaining (as you might expect from a sitcom writer) and there are some heartfelt epiphanies interwoven throughout the stories as well.
