Honestly, there was fat phobia and mild racism. I looked up criticisms and others complained of soke racist undertones so I decided to tap out.

Speaking as someone who has heard all her life that she should "get married and have kids", otherwise my life will NEVER be fulfilled this book spoke to my soul! All I can say is if you are looking for an excuse to travel, or put your career first, or to just say F-you to all societal expectations and go have an adventure, this book will light a fire under in your soul. Kristin Newman tells her true and scandalous life in a humorous way while saying that it's your life do what you want with it!

I started out enjoying this book, but quickly grew tired of the author's voice and her stories. This may have made a better series of essays instead of an entire book. Or perhaps each chapter should have been shorter. Newman has some funny moments, but overall I wasn't that impressed. I also seriously disliked the ending - the entire "it's ok ladies, I found a man, so you will too" was obnoxious and patronizing.
