It had a slow start but after I got into the story it was so good! The dynamic of the characters and how touching the story was just made it so so good!

For a story that contains so much tragedy, it is very hopeful! (And spicy!)

Well written, with relatable characters (you can empathize with them and not just get mad at the being dumb or unrealistic).

OMG! I really love this book. So I started reading the Fifth Season and because it isn’t a page turner for me, I decided to also read this book in parallel.
I’ve stopped reading this book because it is getting to a very juicy part and I thought let me finish the Fifth Season and then come back to the juicy part of the book.
One of the big themes for me is how it promotes therapy. I love how it didn’t take a long time for the characters to actually communicate with each other and not sit in their own wrong thoughts/thinking. The entire family went through a traumatic time of loosing a dearly beloved aunt and their stillborn baby which was the 3rd child. I can’t imagine going through something like that within a short time frame. Yasmen finally went to a therapist and is still going. How she was able to make her son see therapy isn’t a bad thing and how he was able to appreciate it and was thankful for it during Thanksgiving. How Josiah is starting to see the benefits of him challenging his son to go if he went. Josiah is starting to see how it helps.
I love how Yasmin & Josiah are able to co-parent so well and are business partners.
I love how the author explores those deep dark feelings or feelings we hide out of embarrassment or nervousness, etc and how important seeking help is.
I was also starting to see Josiah little by little discusses the truth to their daughter since she feels like her mom is to blame for everything. I am hoping he can continue this discussion with their daughter.
This is a page turner for me and it’s more like real life believable characters.

A beautiful, easy-to-read romance about second chances, the importance of self-love in order to love others and having good friends that support you no matter what. It’s not your typical romance and that I like!

This book probably deserves a higher rating than I am giving it. The characters are great. And the story is good. The grief was just too much for me. I generally don't pay attention to warnings. I would strongly suggest being cautious if you have gone through miscarriages in the past.

I loved this. The perfect blend of romance and women's fiction.
