The structure on this one is quite odd. Our protagonists spend a considerable amount of time just kind of doing "life stuff" and meeting interesting new people, and then the author seems to remember that he had some bad guys as well, and all hell breaks loose.

Now as it happened, I quite enjoyed the slice of life stuff, but the sudden shift in tone and pace is quite noticeable and not a little bit jarring.
