3.75 This book had everything I normally enjoy, but I couldn’t get into it! Plot was predictable, the maid’s motivations were a bit questionable and all of the hidden POVs made it hard to follow timelines.

Very enjoyable read. I am easily fooled and just crave for more. I don't try to guess, I just consume. If you're like me, you'll like it.
Basic if you’ve already read a lot of thrillers before, but entertaining nonetheless. I still had a great time.

Loreth Anne White is fastly becoming one of my top 5 favorite authors and I am so excited to make my way through her thriller backlog!
This book was a chin hair away from being 5 stars!! The first 50% if not more was a slow burn of figuring what happened days (or sometimes years) before a murder that was semi witnessed by a rich nosey neighbor. Throughout most of the book we have zero clue who ends up being the one dead then out of nowhere it went from like 25 mph to 110 mph and thrill never stopped.

“Sometimes when you start a journey—or a journal—you have a destination in mind. You aim for it. You make a plan, devise an itinerary to get there. But the road is never straight. You hit storms, are blocked by rockslides, avalanches, construction detours, accidents. Perhaps you might notice a fellow traveler hitching a ride, so you pick them up . . . and your journey, your plot, your destination changes”
This was amazing! However there was one loose end which is why it was more of a 4 star for me but if not for that it would’ve been a 5 star for sure! It was driving me nuts!
