My first Loreth Anne White novel and definitely not my last! I'm slightly ashamed to say I did not see the twist coming- I feel like I should've!- but I will say that it is a satisfying one. A page turner for sure!

Love this book! So many twists and turns! Characters were awesome! Best mystery I’ve read in awhile! I really enjoyed how the book swapped from character to character and how the maids diary fit in at the end!

It kind of had a slow start and a predictable end, but I still enjoyed it.

It was a slow build and all the way up to 30% was a struggle. I was trying to be patient and let the author introduces to the characters and set the tone but I almost gave up several times. I finally got curious enough to read the reviews on the book because I couldn't understand how it was so highly rated and yet so terribly boring to me. The reviews were amazing and convinced me to stick it out.
The story started getting interesting around the 35% mark and just built up from there on out. There were a lot of plot twists that I was not expecting. At some points it was plot twist after plot twist. Really good book really loved the second half of it.
