Okaaaay where to begin….this book was good! I ate the story line upppp, BUT only after I was 50% into the book. The first half was so hard for me to keep up with and I actually had to restart the book about 80 pages in because I wasn’t retaining anything. There was too many POVs right off the bat, I ended up so lost! I had to focus really hard when I restarted the book and still took about 40% in before I could personally tell each POV apart. I also had to read along with the audio version to help me

This was a twisty and fun thriller - free with kindle unlimited. I listened to most of it in audiobook and read the last quarter. The narrator was pretty annoying to me, so I'm glad I decided to actually read the ending.
Kit is the maid whose diary we get to read as chapters in this book. Kit has issues. She is obsessed with snooping and loves to find dirt and secrets in her rich client's homes. When Kit aquires a new house to clean called Rose Cottage, she's up to her usual digging around the owner's private belongings. What Kit finds shakes her to her core. This house belongs to someone who did irreparable damage to her when she was a teen. Kit becomes obsessed with digging through the home for any secrets she can find.
In the prolouge, we learn there is someone that is taken away in the backseat of a car and left for dead in a bay. As to who it is, you'll have to wait to unravel all of the threads in this story. Everything you know, you don't know.😄 This author was very conniving, and I enjoyed this book. In my opinion, it is a bit overhyped, but I'm now interested in reading more from this author.
