Ok…so suspense, storyline, drama, action were all GREAT in this book. The only thing that was lacking for me was a likeable character. I know we all were supposed to be rooting for Kit, but I just couldn’t bring myself too. Book was good enough for me to recommend but I personally couldn’t connect as well because none of the big play characters were that likeable.

Captivating and good twists, but some parts felt a bit drug out. A lot of character personal stories and perspectives to keep track of through the length of the story.

This was such a fast-paced and wild ride. The twists and revelations throughout the story kept me on the edge of my seat. I can't wait to check out more from this author!

Way too long for what is a pretty simple tale of revenge. No real twists unless you've never read a thriller before. Too little story, too many words.
Alright, I kept teetering back and forth between 2 and 3 stars for this one. After leaving my little note at 46% of the way through saying I wasn’t invested or interested at all in the story/characters, I was mentally set on a dissatisfied 2 star rating. Then the book gods heard my disappointment and immediately made some interesting stuff happen!

It’s deduced through context clues that the maid, unbeknownst to the owners of the house, is the girl who John raped in his youth, then Daisy’s wealthy family paid hush money to keep her quiet. Innnnnnterestinggggg. Finally there’s a connection between all these miscellaneous characters. Increased to 3 star rating in my mind.

Then….. that was it. Like c’mon? That’s a good premise! Why did NOTHING HAPPEN for over 150 pages after that revelation? I almost DNF’d the whole book around 70% of the way through which lead to my deduction of that earlier awarded star. Back down to a 2 star rating again. Then Kit, Katarina, Vanessa, AND Mia are ALL the same person? Lame.

Also side note: it’s a huge pet peeve of mine when a pregnancy is such a prominent part in the entire story, but is ultimately irrelevant. It’s should be treated like Chekhov's gun. Chekhov’s pregnancy, if you will. There <b>needs</b> to be a birth, miscarriage, stolen baby… something.

My heart was beating fast the whole time. So many twists and turns. I was blindsided by the ending. I REALLY enjoyed this book!!
