I'm giving this novel four stars because I find it quite entertaining.
This book is one of those where the characters are so awful that you keep flipping pages just to see how they are going to get screwed at the end. The story is predictable, but still manages to keep you entertained. And not all the characters are awful, I actually like Kit a lot.
The author proposes a mystery at the beginning of the book and leads you through different perspectives and through different time frames developing the plot. The journey is quite interesting; although there are no surprises at the end.
Overall, I find this book very enjoyable and something to read if you are into light-weight mysteries.

This was a good read. The ending was not what I expected but it was very well done. A little slow to start but worth it.
I love a good thriller and this was a good one. I did guess what was going on which isn't uncommon but this time around I really enjoyed the build up. I kept powering through just wanting to know more and more and as the stories started unraveling and growing I became more invested.
By far one of the best and most gripping thrillers I’ve ever read. I can’t recommend it enough!
This book was literally amazing! Had me on the edge of my seat the entire time and was constantly throwing new info at me that I couldn’t even predict would happen. Freaking loved it
4.5* - I was not expecting this to be a revenge thriller, my new favorite sub-genre. At first, I was a little annoyed at the massive amount of characters we are introduced to in the first 50 pages, but what a wild ride it became! I literally got goosebumps at one of the reveals 3/4 of the way through.

Y’all this book had eating it up till the very last chapter. I love thrillers, I’ve read quite a few, and I consider myself a pretty experienced reader but the twist and turns of this novel had me up late reading despite my current grad school schedule. Although this story follows the life of a maid, which I guess a lot of novels are doing these days, it has a dark twist that had me questioning the reality I had been reading for the past week. I loved the switching of perspectives despite the confusion it gave me at the beginning of the novel. I highly recommend this for any of my thrilled and mystery loving friends but do give a trigger warning for sexual assault.
