The Maid's Diary

It took me some time to really get into this one, but once I got to the 40% mark I was completely hooked and devoured the rest of it in 1 day… Anti-hero protagonist + ultra-satisfying karmic justice! I’ve said before and I’ll say it again… death to rapists!

This is my first DNF of the year

Enjoyable, a bit predictable at times however it was still a good read

I really enjoyed this book. Grabbed and kept my attention right from the start. Different points of views and letting you almost play detective as you read.

This was fun because it was set in Vancouver. It was a bit over the top but it was good

Way too dark and twisted for me. This is the second book that I have read by this author and both have to do with mommy issues and sexual assault. This one has to do with revenge of an earlier sexual assault that involved a gang rape. There are multiple references to, anal rape and things being put up their butts…who wants to read about that? I don’t. I’m moving onto something cozy and warm for the holidays. I need to go watch an episode of friends and feel good about life again 😂

Another mystery-thriller book I read this year, and I'm really satisfied with the book. I love the writing, the characters, the complexity between each one of them. Ughh, chef's kiss. The way White's starts the book with a steamy scene before all the chaos, write in different POV that made me feel disgusted by Jon's POV most of the time, jaw-dropped whenever Daisy talk about Jon, and felt sorry for what Kit's had to go through.

All the shining stars for White. My very first book from her, shouldn't be my last! <3
