This was a very deceptive read. If you are expecting a fun beach read, you may want to pick another one because this was DARK, much darker than expected.
Not an easy read
This book for me was one I had to keep telling myself I would finish it. Overall I am glad I did, but it wasn't easy. Definitely not a book I would have chosen for myself, but should make for an excellent discussion with the book group.

A family that has become estranged from each other ends up on a cruise together where everything falls apart and together. Enjoyable but not compelling reading.
I found myself struggling to finish this book. No connection with the characters, details never explained/unresolved, and the plot was weak. Overall, the book did not meet my expectations.
There IS such a thing as too many characters and plot lines. Boring.
This story is super uneven with characters that are only really understood on a base level. Each of them have these secrets that some of them come out and some of them don't. There's little to no resolution to anything. The ending is so abrupt I thought my ebook had some issues loading. It just felt like the author walked away and someone else has to finish it with minimal idea what this book is supposed to be about.
I found the premise exciting, but it got a bit too boring and uninteresting.

A fun story about a dysfunctional family in a cruise vacation. It was fun to hear about the romantic European settings while following each character’s journey. It was a good mix of flashbacks to how they got there and them currently fixing their lives - the ending was a little abrupt fir me but the story kept me interested.
