I actually started this book twice because it took a couple chapters to become interesting. After the first chapter, I didn’t like Charlotte, the main character. This book has several POVs - Charlotte, Cord, Regan, and Lee. Charlotte is the mother. She is a widow, and her best friend just died. Cord is her gay son, who can’t tell his family that he’s gay. Regan married her sister’s ex-boyfriend and now her marriage is failing. Lee, the oldest sibling, moved to LA to be a star, but she is no longer getting calls for shows. Charlotte wins a Mediterranean cruise and invites her family along to become closer to them. In some ways, each family member grows. However, this book is missing a good ending to tie everything together.

This was an enjoyable listen, though I often had to pause/skip ahead for second hand embarrassment

I couldn’t stand a single character and only finished this book because I am a completion-ist and felt compelled to see it through.
