This was okay, but not great. I liked the family interactions and the setting, but I had the hardest time with the mom, who was, frankly, a crap mom. She asked one child to keep a horrible secret and forced another to live a horrible secret, both for a very long time.

Everyone else was pretty decent with interesting conflicts and struggles. I reminded me of The Nest, but not quite as many knives out between the siblings.

Every family is dysfunctional, but this was too much for me. It almost gave me a stomach ache-obviously my dysfunction is living in denial.

I just couldn't get into this book. There wasn't anything that caught my attention and I didn't connect with the characters at all, which made me uninterested in their storylines.

I enjoyed this book but feel there could have been more to the ending. What happened with Cord and Giovanni? Did Charlotte get her love?

This novel broke my heart at many times. There's a lot of moving parts happening at once but I feel it was written in a way that's quite easy to follow.

Since there isn't a score of 3.5, I'll round up to 4. I enjoyed this book and loved all the 'travel' and stops made by the family because I love to travel and was reminded of many of those places myself. I feel the author did a good job developing the characters and there was a clear storyline for each of the characters. The book kept my attention and the only reason I didn't rate it higher was because I didn't feel it was very unique/highly different. For me it was an entertaining read covering topics like family and social issues, some romance, and I enjoyed understanding the mother's feelings and experiences as an aging woman. If you're looking for a book that will take to places in Greece and Southern Europe all amidst a story of family and redemption, then this book would be for you.

I'm not even sure why I've read this till the end. The family dynamic was interesting but the writing style was not for me. Didn't keep me interested for long, wasn't that eager to pick it up and see what was going to happen next.
But I did it and now I can move on to the next ebook!
