This one didn't work for me. I really disliked Bernard and the way he was written.

"Wool" is an excellent read! Whether you're into SF, apocalyptic fiction, dystopias, or just good literature. The pacing is excellent with many unexpected twists and turns. The original five segments tell a complete story but I, for one, hope that Mr. Howey continues to explore this world. The possibilities are immense!

It’s a good story and the plot moves along.  Characters well defined. There are enough twists to keep you moving through all 500+ pages.
My only criticism —- esp at the end (like last 70 pages) everything tied up too nicely and answers some of the questions you may have a bit too conveniently.
And some of things we’re supposed to believe weren’t develop enough (possible SPOILER ALERT): the lead character meets someone 2x and she’s already in love?  And some of the violence happens asap without taking a beat to plan it (trying to be vague here as to not spoil everything.)?  I mean it’s already 500 plus pages. He should have added a couple more as to not rush it.
