I hated how the author wrote the black characters in the book. There is no GD reason for this author to be using the N word and AAVE. Booooooooo tomato tomato tomatooooooo NO STARS.

A very gross book (complimentary), woven together by stories within a story. The horror was good but not enough for me to shake the men not knowing how to write women vibes the whole way through.

you know how sometimes people tell you not to watch or read something, and now you just have to do it? this proves that sometimes you should just fucking listen.

i can't rate this honestly. this was obviously very problematic because of how racist it felt (the white author using the n word twice and writing his black characters like this didn't feel right with me) and because i thought all the gore was unnecessary
but the ending was?? very fucked up indeed i love extreme horror and i really loved how motherhood was explored in this one and how it all came together at the end

I read this book in one sitting. And while yes it’s on the shorter side, I was blown away at the details! And the twists at the end! You definitely almost feel sorry for Angel. The Andy story… was crazy!
