The pacing of the story is the main reason on why I’m not finishing the book. It’s a bit slow at times and right when things begin happening, it goes back to being slow. Also, the writing style is very beautiful and poetic, but at times keeps dragging on what is going on in the story. By the time I got to be 60% in the book, I just wasn’t interested in continuing the story.

this book is crazy!!! in a good way. the idea of blindly following someone's orders because they say you have to, has always brought up questions for me. the way this book explored that is amazing. dont underestimate someone wanting to know why.
the first few 100p were really slow, but i feel like it was necessary to have a proper character deep dive. I definitely would've liked to read more of lucifer and Michael's relationship from their perspective and not some random angel saying "theyre become really good friends." the last 10-ish chapters felt very sudden, and the violence and gore was too much for me.

The writing in this book is overly descriptive and the romance between Lucifer and Michael is ridiculous. The number of times Lucifer is called "beautiful" by the other angels was tiring and now I think I dislike that word. Although it was kind of interesting when Lucifer started to rebel against God. Still I really should have dnfed this when I learned that it's popular on TikTok.

This book had great potential and I agree that this story is perfect with the lens of queer love. But it was one of those stories where you can’t root for anyone and it’s not clear who the villain is. And I’m not sure it was love or if it was obsession but it sure wasn’t love by the end. The story really derailed fast and I couldn’t keep track. Happy Pride!
