It was kind of fun to see what this guy had to say, but I lost interest when he seemed to lack sources and leaned heavy on speculation and conspiracy.
That said, conspiracy can be a lot of fun...and so I think this would be great material for the background of novel.
That aside, there are so many books out there, I just didn't have time to spend with this book instead of others.

The blurb on the back reads:
“How will the world end? Is the Antichrist coming - or is he already here?...From mystic revelations to esoteric codes, here is a history of the world based upon the beliefs of the secret societies - a radical re-interpretation of human existence and a view of the world previously hidden from us.”
Reading this book, you will either lap it up, with your perspective of the world being changed forever...or you will believe that the book is utter tripe and that anyone who believes such pseudo-intellectual nonsense should have their head examined.
A wonderful book for the fact that it leaves you wondering, considering, and exploring new ideas. Black covers such a wide range, an all-encompassing range in both time and area (global), and his enthusiasm and passion brings many of the ideas and subjects to life. Each chapter covers 'the secret history' from a different angle, some eye-opening, some speculative, and some far-fetched or misleading, but all interesting! A great insight into the evolution of the mind :)
this book was interesting but like a lot of these types of books there are massive assumptions made on very little fact. Once you start questioning the basis of these 'facts' in the book you can drive semi-trailers through the holes.
