Made it till 50%

'Uprooted' is a fairytale adventure that feels like reading an old story.

The book was way too fast at times and way too slow on others. I didn't like any of the characters either.

I can't even pinpoint what didn't work for me, but this was sort of disappointing (the magic system was really interesting though). 

and fuck the romance in this book what even was that??

I grew up reading old European fairytales and also studied different versions of them in college. This book reminded me of being curled up on my grandmother's sofa with one of her thick fairytale volumes. It really had that ancient fairytale epic feel to it; I was enchanted from start to finish :)
