"Jane" is a retelling of the Tarzan story from Jane's point of view. You already know the essential story, so I don't need to recap that there. I will say the book is fast-paced, fun, and Jane comes across as (thank God) intelligent and very much her own character.
My only downside is the abrupt ending, which left so many threads hanging it might as well have been a Persian carpet cut in half. If there's to be a sequel (or if there is--I have to check), that'd be great, but I appreciate a real ending unless a book is part of a clearly defined ongoing series.
