This book was very well done.
I am not one to usually read books about spiritual warfare —I think because I see so much of it on a daily basis that reading about it in my down time doesn't sound like fun.

However, Linda K. Rodante helped change that a bit in writing SCARS. It does deal heavily with spiritual warfare but it's done in a way that really causes you to self reflect (which I found to be a unique aspect, since most fiction books do not cause you to stop and reflect)

The characters were well laid out and even though I haven’t read the rest of the series I felt like I got a very good sense of the characters and their histories together. The building blocks Linda K. Rodante used to write her characters in this book were solid. I liked how each interaction left little nuggets of engagement and information that built to a wonderful conclusion that made me go buy the other books in the series!

I really enjoyed this one.
4 Stars.
