Hilarious because its all too real! The challenges and misadventures over one year of a middle aged British mom trying to juggle kids, marriage and a less than satisfying job (not to mention a cast of annoying relatives and competitive mom ‘friends’). Read if you want a good laugh and something to relate with (read best with a large glass of wine!).

I gave up. Repetitive and dull.

It was ok. Some parts I really liked and others I didn't.

I also didn't warm to the main character Ellen, who was a bit too much of a spoilt, selfish, judgemental, bad friend, who didn't seem to like anyone including her own family the majority of the time.

I think the hype killed it a bit for me, I just didn't like it as much as I expected too.

Also the style of writing reminded me of Helen Fielding's Bridget Jones novels.

But it was still a quick and mostly fun read.
