I wanted to like this?! Babitz isn’t a bad writer and she certainly has a unique voice but this was a little too random and scattered for me to enjoy.

idk whyyy I struggled with this one so much. I feel like the first part had almost a consistent narrative (that I was into! learning about her childhood was interesting!) but then the rest of the book was just so random and I wasn’t connecting to any of the stories or people in them. Until taquitos and rendezvous. but yeah, not my fav :(
