Epic visuals, confusing ending, a bit too direct on the themes and ideas it wants to deliver. Still, not a waste of time at all. I enjoyed it all the way until the final issue.

I wasn’t really a fan of this book. The pace was fast and confusing at times. Didn’t care much for the art style either.

The story was hard to follow. I am sure the writer had the intention of creating a big web of mystery that would eventually be unraveled, and things would be linked together. I kind of lost interest in what mystery there would be because I was trying to figure out what the heck was going on in most of the scenes.
The pace was extremely fast, and the way the artwork was drawn didn’t really help. I found myself jumping back a page or two to try to figure out what happened in the scene before that made sense for the  following scenes.

Unfortunately I couldn’t really get into it that well. I kind of just wish they had taken at least a little bit of time to just sit with a characters instead of action, action action. I really didn’t get attached any of the characters because most of them just weren’t really likable, and when you start to get used to them and like them a little bit, they die.

I had high hopes because the  cover looks cool, but I guess you can’t judge a book by its cover.

The artwork is exceptional- the story was hard to follow. I feel like you need to have a basic understanding of Christianity to really understand.

Very interesting book. I finished and immediately wanted to start over and try to make sense of everything I had just read. The art is unique and gorgeously detailed - the whole thing really reminded me of We Stand on Guard but with more mythos, more super powers. I wonder about the author's connection with First Nations people. All that being said this was interesting and kept me reading. I'll definitely read more, because I want to find out what's next for Little Bird.

Thanks to Image and Edelweiss for the digital ARC

Honestly, what did I just read?
It was very hard to follow the characters b/c of the frequent outfit and hair changes as well as so many identical background characters. The story line was ever changing, and not in an interest ing plot twist way, for me. I don't understand the high ratings and reviews, or suggested after the other graphic novels I've read. Very quick too get through, but not for me at all.
