I don’t even know if I really enjoyed this book because I found it so stressful. Very oddly compelling, but also very upsetting (especially if you are currently raising young kids!!)
It’s a fantastic premise that effectively taps into many fears that parents have. Maybe a bit repetitive at times, but I sped through it anyway because I needed to see how the story resolved itself.

A great dystopic piece about the treatment of mothers, with aspects of misogyny and racial issues.
Partly horrifying with a gut-wrenching end. I am so sorry for Harriet and Emmanuel. Reading about these kids was heartbreaking. (read in English)

The most heartbreaking book I've ever read.
