A great collection showcasing the many iterations, characterizations, and art styles of an iconic American hero (some may say the most iconic).

Here you are swept directly into the action - although at times additional author notes would be helpful for backstory, and the plot structure might have earned a greater payoff with a slight re-ordering of some of the issues.

Better than I was expecting. It would be easy for this story to fly wildly off the rails and be only for the super die-hard Spider-Man fans but as someone who hasn't read a single issue of Spider-Man in about a decade it was easy to follow and spun a great yarn.

I don't know which of these alternate Spideys was pre-established and which were created for Spider-Verse and that's a testament to the writing and how they kept things clear and concise even for "new" readers. If you want a fun Spider-Man story in a self-contained format, give this a try.

An epic Spidey tale for the ages. Though there were SEVERAL Spider people that I was not familiar with, I felt like the story handled/balanced them well enough with the more recognizable ones so it never felt too confusing. I'm sure many of them were introduced in this event series (I definitely tracked this story down solely for reading anything that involved Spiderpunk) so I didn't feel outrageously out of the loop.

While I felt that the story dragged on and off, I never got too bored with it. I wish that the omnibus I read had organized the comics so that certain character-specific issues were included at the time they happened within the overall story. Scarlet Spider, Spiderwoman, and Spiderman 2099 have separate issues that tie directly to the overall plot and are collected after its end, which make them feel like a pointless bit of catch up. They are exciting and important issues, but they could have been integrated a little more coherently.

Definitely going to see if I can track down some more Spiderverse event comics.

my faves were gwen, 616 peter, silk, lady spider, and miles. honestly a nice collection of all the issues and set out in a pretty easy to keep track of way.
whilst i rlly liked the plot of the spider-woman issues, some of it felt very snide. i didnt love 616 jess drew but i liked black widow jess drew a Lot

Every Spider-Man fan should read this, is so much fun, the different kinds of illustrations, the story it self. Very interesting. I didn’t gave it 5 stars just because the compilation of comics doesn’t come in order, you can find multiple orders on internet, and like that got a couple of spoilers while reading.
