Revisiting familiar characters is always so much fun!

Beau and Lyndi are adorable as a couple, and probably one of my favourites in the series so far. Both have so much to offer and a depth few others get to see, and I loved getting to see them slowly remove their masks and not be afraid themselves. Plus, Lyndi’s nerdiness was super relatable. :)

As alway, the friends groups with the girls and the Marine guys are stellar, and I was so excited to see a familiar from the Hawaii series show up! It makes me so happy to see series overlap!

Content: mention of “the Fates”; alcohol consumption; physical attraction and kissing

“Seriously, five stars. So swoony.” -Lyndi

Every Jess Mastorakos book makes me fall in love more and more with her writing. In “The Fake Date” we get to see Lyndi finally get her HEA. As the title suggests- it involves some fake dates BUT also some tension and everything that I love in a romance!

I sat down and almost cried when I got to the end because I wasn’t ready for it to be over!

I related so much to both Lyndi and Beau on different levels. Enjoyed this one a ton. Loved the dynamic and second guessing, and the blunt honesty between them when it came down to it.

Also loved all the friends’ support they all had. And it was fun to see the cross over of Grant from the San Diego series. Really well done.related so much to both Lyndi and Beau on different levels. I loved this book. I don't often say this about books, but this one was perfect. I loved the characters and the easy way their story flowed. It felt like I knew them from the very beginning of the book, like I was getting together with old friends. The story grabbed me and didn't let me go. I found myself thinking about the book whenever I wasn't able to read it. I probably would have read it in one sitting if I had been able to.

I truly don't know what to say about the book other than I adored it. I think this might be my favorite book I have read this year. It was amazing. I wish it had been longer because I honestly could have read about these characters for a couple of books, focused on them the whole time. I'm glad that I should be able to see them again in the next books, but I will miss them and the comfortable feeling I had while reading their story.

I read an ARC of this book for free, and I am voluntarily leaving this honest review.
