Libro excelente, siento que la mayor gracia no esta en la historia principal, sino en todas las subtramas y ramas de la historia, hablando de como llegó a pasar x cosa, o porque x personaje es de tal forma. Obviamente tiene una historia principal, importante e interesante, pero leer los capítulos, cuando hace un flashback a cierto evento o cuenta el transfondo de un personaje, como si fueran cuertos cortos termina siendo muy entretenido y llevadero

The characters are very lovable and you really get attached to them even through all the events that ensue.

After starting this book twice in the past 5 years, I picked it up again on a whim this summer and picked up right where I left off halfway through to finally finish it out. People aren't kidding when they say it starts getting REALLY dark towards the end. And yet it still had me laughing at everyone's ridiculous antics. I remain in awe of Joseph Heller's use of paradox and humor to portray a truly horrific situation - I think it's so much more powerful for the juxtaposition.
The novel starts a little slow, and it took me about a third of the way through to really get a feel for how Heller writes in this novel...but once you get it, you get it.
Satire, humor, circular reasoning, and, of course, this all adds up to the dreaded Catch-22. An enjoyable read--but I urge patience as you get into it.
