This book is an absolute struggle to read for the first ~100 pages. At one point, I went on a long rant to my partner about how awful it is. But I pushed through after reading reviews where others had similar experiences. At some point, I finally understood the rhythm of the book and that made all the difference. It’s a great read, but the beginning was so tough.

My Dad studied this as a kid and told me he enjoyed it way back when. His schoolmates also loved it for its rudeness and its comedy.

This was a complex tale with moments of frustration, sadness, and even haunting sections.
Don’t get me wrong this book is a mix of sporadic names and Catch 22s but this builds the more you read and you fall in love with the madness of the characters as time goes by.
This had me until the end, I just wanted more.
