I really just read this to understand the BB memes and references to be honest. I appreciated how feral Ryuzaki was in this.
His body language reminded her of Pooh Bear, but Ryuzaki was neither yellow nor adorable, and less a bear inclined to doing nothing than a rather tall man with a pronounced slouch. When he had eaten four handfuls of jam, he proceeded to put his lips directly on the rim of the jar like it was a cup of tea and slurp the contents noisily. Within moments he had consumed the entire jar.

Nette Ergänzung zum Death Note-Universum. An sich lässt sich dieser Roman sicherlich auch als jemand lesen, der/die nicht mit dem Manga vertraut ist. Kleinigkeiten sind dann zwar etwas witzlos, aber eine gelungener Detektivroman ist es trotzdem!
3 Mordopfer, ein noch unklares Muster, aber ein Serientäter. Welche Verbindung gibt es und welches Motiv verfolgt der Mörder? Ich mochte diese klassische Herangehensweise an einen Krimi, obwohl ich sonst kein großer Fan dieses Genres bin.
Die Ermittlungen in diesem Krimi laufen aber ganz im Death Notw Stil ab: Liebe zum Detail, Logisches Denken und Schlussfolgerungen in Häppchen. Dazu die unglaubliche Intelligenz der Figuren, wie man es von L nicht anders erwartet.

Death Note is one of my favorite anime series and I’ve recently picked up the manga. L such an interesting character and any chance to read more stories about him always excites me. The novel centers around three crimes in LA that are similar in style but the victims seem to have no connection. It’s a crime mystery with a huge twist that will make your jaw drop.
The book captures the brilliance of L and delves deeper into Naomi’s character. She is very smart in the manga but she has such a brief appearance that you never get to know her well. This book emphasized just how smart she really is and why L would choose to work with her.
I loved this book not only for the character, L, but also because of the crime mystery element. It had me guessing and kept me on my toes, wondering who the killer was. Fans of Death Note should read this book and learn how Naomi came to know the famous detective.

I have see the anime and planning to buy the manga and read it, but the moment my eyes saw this book i fell in love. the cover was amazing to the point where i couldn't resist it. i borrowed the book from a friend to read it, and waw, a well structured story with an amazing plot. highly recommended.
