Quite different from the rest of DRH's work. While surrender itself is Lester Levenson's releasing, currently best known as Sedona Method, the Doc puts so different a spin on it that the origin of the technique is just a side remark.

The writing isn't very consise and does contain a lot of what some may perceive as pseudo science, but even if you read it with fat scoop of salt, the method does absolutely work in my experiense. I consider this book to be one of the most transformative ones I've read.

I read this book at the recommendation of my therapist as I worked through my feelings about various events in my life. Letting Go by David R. Hawkins, MD, PhD, taught me how thoughts are driven by feelings, and vice-versa, and that controlling your emotional responses to experiences reduces anxiety and suffering.

For more of my thoughts on this book, see Letting Go.

Subjectively, I give this 5 stars. It significantly helped in visualising my negative emotions so that I may create a framework to use these emotions in a healthy, positive manner. There are moments where I cannot help but raise my eyebrow at. (Attempts to forgive Hitler; forgive constant ongoing war.)

I think this book can significantly help any individual to reach a state of comfort or 'goodness' which many people today like to argue that it is because of (         ) reason that people today aren't 'happy'. Can't people look for greater things ahead? Yes, comfort is nice; many of us struggle just to be comfortable, but can we not look towards exceptional horizons?

The book argues that self sacrifice is unnecessary to progress as an individual and this I would agree. But, when it comes to systems of governance; for those in power to think that what THEY think is what's best for the greater populace is absolute lunacy. It's relieving to know that I will always be good, but if we want things to be Great, sacrifices have always been made.

This book will unlock superpowers for the liberal individual.

Took me a while to get through this. And am still not fully through it. In fact, this is gonna be a book I often refer to. I bought a physical copy of this book today.

I’ve experienced a lot of “letting go” moments in the last few years. I find everything he discusses in the book go be reasonable and possible. But I still ask myself the question, so how do I actually surrender. How do I actually let go?

Amazing topic and theme, but the claims are outlandish...really hard to get through as a result. Skipped a bunch of the chapters. Read “surrender experiment” by Michael Singer instead
