I received this book from Netgalley in exchange of an honest review.

OMG, I laughed so so much. And not just me, I also whatsapped my fiance with some of the comics and I dare to bet people have looked at him funnily given his reaction back to me. :P

I have read a few Adam Ellis comics, but only a few. So I was pretty dang excited to see a whole book of them. And boy, they are so good.

The comics are about a variety of things, from student loans (Nobody cares!), going to Japan (Gudetama and relating to that little egg dude), moms and their obsession with keeping gift paper intact, anxiety (really, don't eat that xanax bar), to cats (so many cats) and self-esteem. But there are tons more. Most are hilarious, but some made me feel a bit sad (even if I also laughed a few times, which made me unsure if I should laugh). One of my favourites, and maybe I should bring that to my dentist the next time, was the dentist comic. Yes, if you hack and saw so much in my mouth of course I will bleed! Dang it!

I just loved seeing Dami Lee in them as well. She is another artist that I follow and read comics of, and it was so fun to go: OMG, is that Dami? It must be! The pink shirt, the egg, the hair! Nice!

The art? Well, I already knew his art, but it was fabulous to see it again. I just adore how he does backgrounds (so many details).

All in all, I hope Adam Ellis will make more art/comics. I would definitely recommend this book if you want to laugh your butt off.

I am probably being super biased but I loved this book. So many of his comics are just too relatable for me not to love them plus his art is really beautiful honestly. That being said there is not a lot of reread potential with this book but I personally would just leave it on my coffee table. All my friends will probably love to see it when their over and its maybe a half hour read front to back.

Received via Netgalley in exchange for a fair and unbiased review

Adam Ellis has done some of my favorite online comics that I've ever found. My favorite is not found in this book, so I am including it in this review for your enjoyment:

Now, again, this comic isn't in the book. And I don't know if I'm super behind on his comics, or if he's just been keeping all the good ones tucked away for this book, but I had never seen any of these, and I was SUPER pumped because they are all incredibly hysterical.

He has a smart, sharp sense of humor, loads of self deprecating humor and second hand embarrassment. The trademark of any online comic, and it's done brilliantly. Beyond worth the read.

'Super Chill: A Year of Living Anxiously' by Adam Ellis is a book of comics about a man obsessed with crystals and Bed, Bath & Beyond coupons.

The comics here deal with depression, self-esteem and justifying eating bad things. That makes them sound not very funny, but they are. The comics feel somewhat personal in nature and that gives them a level of authenticity.

I received a review copy of this ebook from Andrews McMeel Publishing and NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. Thank you for allowing me to review this ebook.

I stumbled on Adam Ellis and his art some time ago in Instagram. His stuff is funny, and some are rather creepy. I especially enjoy his horror comic strips. This book was less fantastical and more about real life struggles having anxiety, which I can very much relate to.

This collection of comics made me laugh out loud at least a few times and chuckle many more. The humour is funny in that truthful/relatable way, one of my personal favourite forms of comedy.

From struggling to find a therapist and visiting the dentist to dealing with family during the holidays and being socially awkward with new people, I appreciated the moments and thoughts Adam shared in this collection.

I also appreciate that the more minimalistic and cartoonish artstyle allows the jokes to stand on their own and take the forefront of the comics.
