Oh this book is so much fun to read if you dont have any inhibitions about making a wide range of fun noises that the children will laughingly imitate and enjoy. A great one for 2-6 year olds with increased audience participation and reading the older they get :)
Oh Bertie and the Bear, what can I say?
I can say I am sick to death of reading this book. However, it is probably one of the best books we have and by far the one my daughter loves the most. It's a book where you can't half heart it, if you don't read it with gusto, you'll quickly be informed by a toddler that you are doing it wrong. In fact, it's almost impossible to read it without gusto, even if aforementioned toddler allowed.
This is a marvelous book really. It is lively, fun, very theatrical, and has great onomatopoeia. The repetition is great as well and has helped my toddler join in while reading out loud.
