The trope second chance is in the middle of my list of favorite tropes. But this book made me move it up higher!
I didn’t think I would my heartstrings pulled at like this book did! It was so cute and funny, and had some giggle moments.
Rowan and Violette were such good couple, because they lifted each other up when they needed to. Also Rowan has a dirty mouth on him AND he’s a wild land firefighter?! YES PLEASE!
I enjoyed reading the moments with Hollie and Rowan, and it showed how much of a good guy he is. Especially the parts with the SuperPets *swoon*
Overall this book was such a good read, and it was steamy, heartfelt, and swoony!

this was much better than the first book even though second chance romances are not my cup of tea, lol. the characters were very endearing and i love that violette was a single mom doing her best to be a good parent to her daughter while also working as a nurse and bartender. LIKE YOURE FABULOUS VI. King was also much sweeter than I thought he'd be given how gruff and stoic he'd been in the previous book. when all was revealed (for the whole second-chance-ism) i was kinda devasted on both their behalfs like 😭 ughhhh the angst was angsting bad. but their romance was really good and the sex between them was hot. the characters were fun and interesting. the friendships these hotshot "WAGs" found in each other was soooo nice and i really liked the little family King, Holly and Vi found in each other. it was very sweet and made me very excited for the next book.
Ahh, where do I start? The second book in the Sky Ridge Hotshots series, PROTECT by Paisley Hope, was an absolutely lovely story of grief, anxiety, and second chance at love. Also, the spicy scenes were chef's kiss.
Nothing hits like rekindling love with the one that got away. I simultaneously wanted to hurry up and finish this book and also take my time so it wouldn't end. I adored the story so so much. Paisley, your books never disappoint and I gobble them up every time.
(btw, callbacks to 10 YEARS AGO being 2014 was almost too much. *cries in elder millennial *)Everyone read the Sky Ridge Hotshots series!! You will NOT regret it!
