I do love Alex Cross. I’d not read the book shots but it didn’t seem to matter
Good story and loved the sub plot character development, bit like catching up with old friends

I really enjoy Patterson's Alex Cross series. This is a fine standalone book or a good compliment to the series. I like the fact that Alex's kids, Bree, and Nana Mama are featured again. It makes Alex that much more real.
Didn’t like the fact that the book didn’t mention it was a sequel to the bookshot “kill cross” because i would have read the bookshot and not been as confused in the beginning. It was hard to put down at times. One part of the ending is confusing to me not going to spoil it.
Better than the two "Bookshots" I had to read to get here 🙄, but nowhere near the good old Alex Cross books. The action was there, though again Alex is making some really rash and idiotic decisions.
The other thing that annoyed me is that the bad guys used the heated dummies to fool the infrared scopes which is something the other bad guys used in the last Cross novel!

3.5* - better than some of the other recent ones, but the result of the trial didn't ring quite as true as it could have been. (Don't think it would have taken that much more to improve that outcome, either, which makes it surprising that it wasn't.)
But, felt a lot better than some previous, recent instalments in the series.

I continue to absolutely love this series. I love that Ali personality is starting to show in the books.
