This was a great introduction to the RHA universe.
Itʻs so complicated and emotional and you canʻt help but to root for the hero and heroine even when all things are stacked against them making it as a couple.
Jace is so strong, independent, & overprotective and Dylan is fierce, takes everything that is thrown at her, & still wants Jace as not only a best friend. Their journey is heartbreaking, but so beautiful.

This book is about grief. It gives all the emotions while portraying a clear picture of how it has its way of clawing around friendships, relationships and family dynamics. I would have loved to see a FMC who stood up a little bit more for herself. Also, the miscommunication trope lasted way longer than it should, to the point of making the story feel repetitive at times.

This book is an emotional roller coaster! I was on the fence with reading it but so glad I gave it a shot! Jace and Dylan you cant help but love their characters! I love how their story wasn’t rushed and everything flowed well. I wasn’t a huge fan how they dealt with Tommy. That was probably the only part that was swept under the rug. But overall—Wonderful!

My least favorite in the Royal Hearts Academy series. Jace and Dylan were the most bland of the bunch but this book really set the stage for the rest of the series so I wouldn't skip it.

Jace and tortured antihero with so many flaws and Dylan, a headstrong and smartass heroine brought Cruel Prince a level of magnificence. I FLOVED THEM WITH ALL MY HEART!!!!!!
