I'm giving stars for the illustrations. Otherwise, I am not a fan. It is far too simplified and loses the story. This could really only be used as a supplement to The Inferno. It doesn't hold up on its own. I've read Dante's trilogy many times and that is really the only reason I would understand the point of this book. It just can't stand on its own feet. Pity.

The illustrations were beautiful, though I was surprised by the style simply because I am intending to read The Inferno this month and when searching for it on KU found this as well and borrowed it on a whim.
I do think it'll be a good supplement, but it wasn't very detailed even from the general knowledge I have of the Inferno.
