I think both of these characters need help that impedes the relationship and they don't really change the flaws that are blocking it before the HEA. A couple cute moments but mostly bleh.

3.75 rounded up on this one. I've never read Kylie Scott before, and I loved how quick, yet thoroughly enough this one was. There wasn't much fluff filler type stuff, and that made it better. If you're in the mood for a quick read with quite a but of spice, and some angst, might be a good one to try.

Evelyn is our FMC, and David, the famous guitar player is our MMC. She wakes up after a crazy 21st birthday celebration to find out that they had gotten married. And she did NOT handle it well. So he leaves.
But of course they are gonna see each other again, since the paparizzi has taken over her families home.

I am kinda digging the rock star romance as of late, so I'm going to continue the series.

*** 3.5/5 ***

This book was so cute! The exact amount of cliche that I needed. There was a really good balance between plot and the erotica parts. Nothing too crazy and it wasn't just focused on that. The characters had great chemistry as well! The only thing that was kinda awkward for me was when she referred to her "lady parts" as "my sex"... Was just a little weird to me... but other than that I loved it! Definitely going to read the next one about Mal.

✨ A solid 4+ stars ✨

I really liked this one! This is the second book by this author that I’ve read, and though it wasn’t quite as good as that one (Trust), it was still really enjoyable.

First things first: I really like Kylie Scott’s writing. Something about it agrees with me. Her stories are compulsively readable; I never lose interest, and I usually finish them quickly. They always start strongly, which is what my ADHD needs Also, her heroines are extremely likable. They’re quirky without being over-the-top, and they’re very “normal”. In this book, Evelyn is a typical college student who describes herself as curvy, but she isn’t insecure about it. As far as Dave, the rock star, he was a solid hero. I didn’t like him as much as I liked Evelyn, but he was realistic in his sensitivity and emotions. He was more than just a famous rock star; he had issues but he could be really sweet, which is my kryptonite.

The only problem? The last half didn’t flow as well as the first. The first half is one of a 5-star book, but once these two crazy kids get together, things don’t even have time to settle before shit hits the fan. I think the storyline could have stayed simple and still hit as hard. I mean, they already woke up in Vegas married to each other, and hadn’t known of each other’s existence 24 hours before. Along with minor dramas, that should be enough. So adding the ex-gf drama was a little much, and only served to make me doubt things, not unlike Evelyn. But, a lot of the side characters really made up for extra drama, like Mal and Jimmy (even if he’s an asshole, he’s intriguing), and Lauren and Nate. So, even when the main storyline faltered, those around the main couple kept my interest. Between that and Kylie Scott, I’ll likely keeping reading the series
